While airholes could naturally be omitted for a dummy mask, since it was to play Mr Sin in his "sleeping" state the dummy did need an addition that the hero mask lacked: closed eyelids.

Mr Sin dummy with closed eyes and eyelashes

To achieve this, eyelid panels with false eyelashes along their lower edges were stuck behind the dummy mask's open eyeholes. Closed eyelids would have been a pointless addition to the hero mask, or a stand-by mask intended for possible use by an actor. Only the dummy would have been given closed eyes.

But here the 2008 mask and the dummy mask are not a match: the 2008 mask has open eyes, with translucent beads glued into the spaces. These beads turned out to be a vital clue in tracing the early history of this Mr Sin mask, and pointed to further evidence of its origin as the mask worn by the dummy prop.
